So, I've been watching a little TV and it has really peaked my excitement for the food there. In the heart of the Tuscany region is a cooking school where they instill the values and history of authentic Italian cooking. Taking the time to teach every piece of this delicate art, like how sauteed garlic can bring out the succulence of grilled shrimp...mmm! I hope we are close by to this Olive Garden restaurant they speak of, it sounds like something I could never eat here at home!
Doug and I have agreed to have our laptop batteries fully charged this time. Last trip we both had 1/2 power and we paid the price by not being able to finish Fletch, the horror! I think we also will be setting up a list of approved movies to bring as Doug did not enjoy "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?" one bit. You can't teach good taste I guess. Even though the total flight time is somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 hrs, I am actually looking forward to it a lot. Wendy, Doug and I sitting together for most of that is bound to be a blast.
